Botswana Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership is a collaborative research and training initiative between the Government of Botswana and the Harvard School of Public Health. BHP is dedicated to fight HIV/AIDS and related public health challenges through collaborative research, education and capacity building.

We seek assertive, result-oriented, strategic thinker with good interpersonal skills to fill in the following position;

Accountant
The incumbent will be tasked with ensuring accurate and timely document processing in line with departmental procedures and provide relevant reports. She/He must be familiar with accounting systems and amongst other skills/duties he/she will be expected to:

Have hands-on experience on Pastel evolution or similar ERP package (Microsoft Excel and Word is a must)
Perform general ledger reconciliation including control accounts in a timely manner

Prepare management accounts, financial information, budgets, cash flows and ad hoc reports
Produce monthly grant specific reports in a multi grant environment
Effectively participate in accounting system implementation and development
Supervise junior staff and work closely with managers and be a team player

Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Accounting with minimum of 3 years experience. Experience in grants management is an advantage. The incumbent must be computer literate with excellent spreadsheet and database software skills.
