Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund invites applicants who are suitably qualified and have the relevant experience for the following vacancies that exist at the Fund Secretariat:

SECRETARIAT ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) - TENABLE IN GABORONE Main Purpose of the Job:
Maintain the accounts and finances of the Fund Secretariat in a satisfactory manner and in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards.
Key Performance Areas:
• Accounting and financial reporting
• Compliance with IFRS
• Risk management
• Communication with customers
• Audit facilitation
• Ensure prompt payment to suppliers and employees


Position Requirements:
• Accounting and Finance related degree and a professional accounting

qualification (ACCA, CIMA) & registered with the Botswana Institute of
Accountants.
• At least 5 years experience in financial management and accounting of
which at least three years will have been at Accountant level. Exposure to
computerized accounting systems ­with detailed knowledge of IT systems to
enhance quality of financial management and accounting is a requirement.
Pension fund or benefit administration accounting experience is preferable.
• A valid driver's license.

Salary: Band 6 (P326, 863.00 - P410, 017.00 per annum)

ASSISTANT BOARD SECRETARY (2 POSITIONS) - TENABLE IN GABORONE 
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide corporate secretarial duties to the Board and its Committees including developing and monitoring the implementation of corporate governance standards.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Compliance with good corporate governance practices.
  • Compliance with mandate and statutory obligations and authorities.
  • Servicing the Board and its Committees-Secretarial.
Position Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance or its equivalent, or a Degree in Law, and/or Full Chartered Institute of Secretaries (CIS) qualification.
  • 5 years company secretarial experience.
  • A valid driver's license.

Salary: Band 5 (P189, 379.00 - P263, 692.00 per annum)
