Production Manager
KEMTEK
(PTY) LTD, and its subsidiaries in Francistown are looking for a qualified
Production Manager. Kemtek is a leading cosmetic & aerosol manufacturer in
Botswana.
Citizens
will be given preference for the above post. However, applications from non
citizens will only be considered in the absence of suitable citizen candidates.
JOB
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S.C (Chemistry) followed by M.S.c. (Botany)
- At least five (5) years experience in the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industries of which not less than three (3) years have been in the Cosmetic industry.
- The candidate must have been involved in the manufacture of items such as Body Lotions, Hair oils, Body and Face creams, Herbal Skincare and Haircare Products etc.
- Experience in developing BMR's and BPR's
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001 :2008 standards and have applied it in the manufacturing process.
- Experience in conducting internal audits.
- Familiarity with QA and QC processes is an added advantage. Must be able to use calibrate pH Meter and viscometer.
- Must be comfortable working with Ms Office, particularly Excel.
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

JOB
SUMMARY
- Responsible for the production of all Skincare, Haircare, Perfumes, Aerosol and Herbal Cosmetic Products.
- Ensure that production follows set procedures and comply strictly with BMR's and BPR's.
- Plan for production based on sales, availability of raw material and packaging materials.
- Draw up weekly production schedules.
- Perform monthly and annual stock takes of raw material and packaging.
- Order raw materials and packaging based on monthly stock reports.
- Prepare BMR's and BPR's and make modifications as necessary based on individual batches.
- Use and Calibrate pH Meter and viscometer to ensure compliance of products with Quality standards.
- Modify batches which initially fail quality standards such that they can subsequently be approved.
- Supervision and allocation of duties to employees from processing to production.
- Carry out internal audits as per ISO 9001 :2008 standards as and when necessary.
- Liaison with operating staff in order to continuously improve manufacturing processes and procedures such that new SOP's can be developed
- Assist with incident investigations as and when necessary.
