BOCCIM
is an association of employers representing businesses in all sectors of the
Botswana economy in an advocacy capacity, driven by its Vision "To be the
premier voice for all businesses promoting sustainable economic and social
development." This organisation is both an employers' representative body
and a chamber of commerce, with impact across various sectors of the economy.
BOCCIM
is looking for a qualified, experienced and results oriented professional to
head the Advocacy & Policy Department and drive delivery of BOCCIM's
strategy in order to achieve the mandate. The position reports directly to the
CEO, and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Job
Purpose: To ensure the efficient implementation of BOCCIM's business agenda,
through advocating and lobbying for membership business interests.
To influence policies and programmes that create a conducive business environment for the growth and development of large and small businesses.
To influence policies and programmes that create a conducive business environment for the growth and development of large and small businesses.
Job
Requirements: A masters degree in Economics or related field, backed by minimum
10 years relevant post qualification experience, with at least 5 years at
senior management level in a reputable organisation.
The
successful candidate wil also pocess the following competencies:
- Financial and investment analytical skills
- Negotiating and marketing skills
- Leadership/management skills
The
above position presents an opportunity to influence developments within member
organisations and companies as well as at national level, and even beyond.
Incumbents interact with stakeholders at these various levels. Incumbents must
be strong in business as well as leadership skills, with the ability to
influence change. Incumbents have the rare opportunity to be pioneers within
