A vacancy exists within AEL Mining Services for a hands-on Senior Technical Officer, responsible for the provision of project activities carried out in accordance with the Mining Legislation, Explosives Act, Company Regulations and Requirements at its BCLs’ Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
• The incumbent should possess at least a minimum Overseer’s Certificate of Competency in a Technical Field (or equivalent) in Mining or mining related discipline
• Experienced in managing explosive manufacturing personnel and facilities, with at least 15 years experience in this field
• Have good interpersonal skills and be able to interact with customers and operational staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Have a valid Blasting Certificate
Be able to prepare Project Management reports
Experience in managing resources and schedules
Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
Effective computer literacy
Ability to work without direct supervision
