Applications for Production Foreman are invited from suitable candidates.
The Production Foreman will be responsible for the following:
• Assist Pit Superintendent to run a shift
• Supervise Load and Haul/Drilling and Blasting operations
• Assign work to Operators and Assistants
• Monitors production performance hourly and takes corrective action
• Ensure observance of safety standards in accordance to the mine policy and legislation
• Employee motivation and welfare
The minimum requirements for the position are:
• Mining/Civil Engineering Diploma or related field
• 4 years experience as a Line Manager in an open cast mining environment
• Cambridge O’Level
• Holder of Botswana Open Pit Blasting License
• Sub-contractor liaison experience
• Planning and control experience
• People skills
