Motor Vehicle Accident Fund invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities
To coordinate the processing of payments and receipts of income and to ensure that transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger;
To ensure adequate cash flows through the transfer of funds among the various bank accounts, and to recommend the investment of surplus funds;
To ensure that accounting processes are carried out in accordance with procedures;
To review the monthly payroll and ensure payment of authorised accounts and relevant deductions;
To review and maintain General Ledger reconciliations;
To coordinate internal and external audit processes; and
To review the fixed asset register and verify the depreciation of assets.

Requirements
Degree/AAT qualification or equivalent

Membership of an internationally recognised professional accountancy institution (e.g. CIMA, ACCA and ACA)

Experience
At least three years at a supervisory level in a computerised accounting environment, preferably SAP.
