Majwe Mining Joint Venture (Pty) Ltd. has been engaged as a Contractor for the Cut 8 Contract Mining - Phase 2 Project by Debswana at the Jwaneng Mine. This project commenced in November 2011, to move over 156 million BCM of waste material to expand the current mine and it is an important contribution to the economy of Botswana. The company requires the services of knowledgeable, highly skilled and self-driven individuals' for the following position. 

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor 

Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent, the successful incumbent will be required to manage the planning and scheduling of all plant and equipment maintenance and repairs, and that these tasks are communicated and performed in line with the manufacturers recommendations and also in order to conform to local and company health, safety and environmental standards and requirements and performs to the required production demands. The duties will include but not limited to: 


Key Responsibilities
  • To communicate directly with the production department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in production areas.
  • To ensure that all plant, vehicles and equipment are subsequently maintained to the' manufacturer's recommendations and company standards
  • To maintain and make improvements on Centerline life-cycle templates for equipment
  • To streamline and maintain the accounting budgets and forecasts
  • Evaluating and benchmarking equipment using routines such as life cycle costing and costs per ton
  • Forecast optimal points to scrap / replace assets
  • To manage the data structure inherent in Asset Management Tool to enable high level reporting as a direct output of the performance of the Core AMT Asset management
  • To continually measure maintenance performance against budget
  • Achieving and maintaining high Safety, Health and Environment standards.
  • People effectiveness 

Job Requirements
  • National Craft Certificate (NCG) in mechanics
  • PC Operating systems and application advanced level qualification
  • 3 Years supervisory experience at Asset Management & Planning preferably in a mining environment
  • ATM operating experience would be and added advantage
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with Asset Management Systems and instruct others on its operation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the mining assets and experience with repairs and maintenance of mining equipment.
  • Asset Management and maintenance planning qualifications would be an added advantage
