An opportunity has arisen to manage operations within our Underwriting Department.

REPORTS TO: Underwriting Executive

CONTENT:

OUTPUTS:
Gross written premium and revenue growth
Maintain and enhance business relationships
New product development
Team management
Retention programmes
Formulation of budgets and the measurement thereof
Liaison with Claims and Finance

Compliance with Internal Audit recommendations per agreed deadlines
Identity training needs of team to enable growth opportunities within the team
Embark on customer research and identify gaps
Identity preferred market segmentation

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.Com Degree/similar or relevant insurance related diploma: AIISA or FIISA or similar

EXPERIENCE:
Proven track record of at least 5-7 years’ experience within Commercial and Personal Lines Underwriting environment. Our ideal candidate will have 5 or more years prior insurance experience of which 2 must have been spent working as a manager.
