Pula Steel and Casting Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd is steel casting and manufacturing concern in Selibe-Phikwe with a projected employment potential of 200+ workers. Interested candidates are invited from suitably qualified citizens for the following vacancies to apply:
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The role is responsible for managing financial risk as well as providing financial advice and support that will endorse sound business decisions of the company.
• The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to executive management and the Board by consistently producing unqualified audited final accounts.
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of the business activities.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance. Analyse competitors and market trends. Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Developing and implementing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
• Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Supervising subordinates effectively, ensuring segregation of duties
• Performing any other duties as may be required from time to time
Qualifications
A Degree in Accounting, CIMA or Financial Management
Experience
Candidates must have completed six (6) years working experience as an Accountant/Financial Manager.
