Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS) is a semi-autonomous organisation of Government responsible for assessing and collecting tax revenue as well as border administration. BURS invites dynamic, self-motivated and qualified citizens of Botswana to apply for the following position:

NETWORKS AND SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Main Purpose of the Job
To organise, plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring and maintenance of escalated end-user computer equipment problems or direct support for infrastructure hardware and software problems in support of operational system (s).

Manages operations of multiple servers in a mixed OS environment, administers and implements security policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:
Qualifications: Degree in Information Technology or related discipline with recognised IT industry certification (e.g. MCSE, UNIX Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Administrator or Professional or Engineer).
Experience: At least four (4) years post qualification experience, 2 of which should have been at the senior officer level or equivalent.
Knowledge of Network Topologies, data communications and telecommunications systems, and experience in enterprise networks and security products

Salary: BURS 05 (P200, 484 – P269, 652 per annum)
