Unified Revenue Service (BURS) is a semi autonomous agency of Government
responsible for assessing and collecting tax revenue as well as border
administration. BURS invites dynamic self motivated and qualified citizens of
Botswana to apply for the following position:
SENIOR
INVESTIGATOR, INTEGRITY & INTERNAL INVESTIGATIONS
Main
Purpose of the Job:
To
assist in the implementation of a programme of surveillance and investigations
in order to minimize opportunities for criminality and dishonest behavior by
employees of BURS and members of its Board with, or without the collusion of
taxpayers and other agents.
Key

- Conducts quality and timely investigations
- Professional investigative reports
- Proper use of investigative techniques
- Ensures adherence to existing investigative plans and strategies
Position
Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Law, Police Administration,
Criminal Justice, or related area.
Experience:
At least two (2) years relevant post qualification experience or equivalent in
a law enforcement capacity related
to commercial crime. Experience in Tax & Customs will be an added advantage
Knowledge
of forensic auditing/ investigation and commercial investigation techniques
with strong information technology
skills
are essential. .
Competencies:
Ability to work independently requiring minimal supervision.
Problem
solving skills and ability Technical and analytical skills
Oral
and written communication skills.
SALARY:
BURS 06 (P 141,744 - P 190,464 per annum)
