The
mandate of the Botswana National Productivity Centre (BNPC) is to enhance the
national level of productivity awareness as an advocacy function and to enable
individuals and organisations, through training and consulting, to be
productive and competitive. The Centre seeks to appoint suitably qualified
individuals for the below positions:-
1.
CONSULTANT - RESEARCH AND MEASUREMENT
-JOB
SUMMARY
Initiate
and conduct research on productivity and quality thematic issues, compile
productivity indicators to ensure availability of information that guides
interventions on productivity awareness and uptake.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Conduct research to
establish/assess the determinants (drivers, leverage factors and log-jams) of
productivity in Botswana; Ability to identify work force outcomes across
organisations, industries and the economy;
- Develop high performance work systems;
- Compile, collate and analyze data from various sources to ensure annual publication of Botswana's Productivity Indicators and availability of information for comparison of Botswana Competitiveness regionally and internationally;
- Produce informative reports, based on research, to ensure insights on productivity and quality issues in Botswana; Provide professional support/guidance to Programmes and Departments at BNPC on surveys/research matters to quality assure processes and resultant outputs;
- Produce clear projects/activity plans to ensure successful project/activity management;
- Carry out research for external clients thereby marketing the Centre's research capabilities, consequently enhancing recognition and optimising revenue generating opportunities;
- Recommend productivity and quality tools that can be used by productivity practitioners in Botswana;

QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters Degree in Social Sciences (preferably LabourEconomics, Organisational behavior, Industrial Psychology).
EXPERIENCE

CONSULTANT - QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
JOB
SUMMARY
To
develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) products, tools and
techniques to client organization to enhance their productivity and quality
level, making them more competitive.
KEY
PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Assist in the determining and defining the Quality Management System (QMS) strategy for deployment at BNPC;
- Develop and deliver the BNPC OMS program to client organisations in Botswana in order to get the organisations ISO 9001 certified, and to enhance their competitiveness;
- Promote and sell the OMS program of BNPC, in order to increase the up-take of OMS products, and to meet revenue targets;
- Assist in developing, monitoring and controlling the budget for the OMS program to achieve income objectives of the Centre;
- Assist in establishing, maintaining and collaborating with key local and international strategic partners in the field of OMS. Participate and provide professional input to the relevant subcommittees of similar organisations such as BOBS;
- Empower the internal change agents (OMS coordinators) within the client organizations to carry out the change effectively. Perform audit of quality management systems to ensure maintenance of the system.

QUALIFICATIONS
A
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, being a Certified Quality
Auditor will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
Five
(5) years post qualification, consulting experience in implementing and
surveillance auditing ISO system.
REMUNERATION
- BNPC offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the job. The package includes the following allowances;

pension scheme twenty percent (20%) (member contributes four percent (4%) and
